This is my favorite photographer of all time. Explicit and implicit dance in a beautifully choreographed dance where everyone from Naomi Campbell to Michael Jackson has posed for him. With photoshoots or every magazine worth their pixels, the most amazing books published, and music videos for Elton John, Christina Aguilera, and Moby (definitely not Rihanna's S&M video) under his belt, he is a tour de force.
He plays with the global obsession with pop culture and takes it to extremes. Reinventing kitsch, every picture narrates a story of the times we're living in. Sexuality, desire, idolization, nudity, hedonism, rawness, glamour and decadence, happiness and despair, the ruin of capitalism, and Lady Gaga. There's a lot to say about him and his work, but I'll let you make your own judgment. I'll leave some pictures taken for Flaunt Magazine and its "Eden" Editorial. For your fucked up brain: David Lachapelle.
